Call for Entries

"An editing race to create the best hit-piece possible."

Both current and potential channelAustin producers are eligible to enter.

Prizes include:

• 1st Place: Two 1-year channelAustin Producer IDs ($200 value)
• 2nd Place: 1-year channelAustin Producer ID ($100 value)
• 3rd Place: 6-monthchannelAustin Producer ID ($55.00 value)

Entry fee: $10 (non-refundable)

Competition Rules

1. Ten (10) editors will be stationed at ten (10) iMacs and provided with 10 identical folders containing pre-captured video and audio footage.

2. We are looking for the most effective promotional for channelAustin. You have exactly 30 minutes to assemble your clips into the most attractive, innovative, and engaging 30-second piece possible. This includes all import, render, and export time. Your winning promo will air Austin's community TV channels: 10|11|16

3. Editors may use all applications available on their iMacs -- including but not limited to Final Cut Pro, LiveType, Soundtrack Pro, Motion, and Color.

4. The finished product  must be a 30 sec QuickTime.mov, with a fade-up
from/fade-down to black.

5. A panel of three (3) judges from the Austin film community will award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-place prizes to those editors with the top three promos.

6. These top promos will then be submitted to play between TV shows on channelAustin's 10, 11, and 16  for months to come.
